The indexing in Scopus is of vital importance for the scientific journal as it is a way of reaching the readers at universities worldwide.

The bibliographical citation database Scopus has completed its evaluation of the international scientific journal Wind Energy Science which has Jakob Mann from DTU Wind Energy as editor-in-chief. Scopus has announced that the journal is going to be included in the database and certifies the following: “Wind Energy Science publishes articles of consistently high scientific quality of interest to a broad international academic and professional audience”.

Jakob Mann comments on the news: “The success of Wind Energy Science is due to the steady stream of high quality contributions from the wind energy community, a crowd of mainly anonymous reviewers and other people commenting on the open peer-review papers, and the persistent work of the editorial board”.

This is also a significant milestone for the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE) as the academy initiated the journal more than three years ago with the publisher of scientific literature, Copernicus Publications.

The process of including the journal in Scopus is time-consuming. It may take several weeks or even months before Scopus has processed all XML metadata following the data transfer from Copernicus.
After the indexing in Scopus Jakob Mann expects the journal to receive an even larger number of interesting papers.
