There are several binding tenders in Østerild and Høvsøre.  One test stand is open for tender in Østerild, and three are open in Høvsøre.

Today, there are nine test stands in Østerild and seven in Høvsøre. At the moment, DTU offers binding tenders for both Østerild and Høvsøre, says Deputy Head of Department at DTU Wind Energy, Peter Hjuler Jensen:

”One of the test stands in Østerild, test stand no. five is open for tender. The contract with Envision expires October 2020,” he says and continues:

”We also have three test stands in Høvsøre, where the agreements expire November 2020.”

Moved from one test stand to another

Envision has decided in the future not to test wind turbines in Denmark, explains Peter Hjuler Jensen.

“At the last tender, Envision won the test stand no. nine in Østerild. However, due to their new strategy, GE that takes over the rent of Envisions test stand. Their lease begins on January 1st 2020,” he says and continues.

“Because GE now has the test stand in Østerild, they no longer wish to have a test stand in Høvsøre. Instead, the rent of the test stand goes to Siemens Gamesa following the waiting list from the previous tender process.”

Peter Hjuler Jensen expects to have a closure on the binding tenders at the beginning of December 2019 for the three test stands at Høvsøre.
