DTU Wind Energy will be participating at the Powertech 2019 Conference I Milano at the end of this month.

At the end of June 2019, the world’s leading experts within the field of wind energy will meet in Milano for the flagship European conference on electrical power systems, Powertech 2019
DTU Wind Energy will be among the participants.

The wind energy experts consisting of academia and industry will come together for a week, from 23-27th of June, to share the latest results and innovations needed for an energy transition. As always, wind power is the main technology expected to facilitate this transition.

DTU Wind Energy will be dominating the wind power integration track, delivering half of the talks in the System Operation and Control – Large Scale Wind Farm Integration in Power Systems session!
Ali Bidadfar and Oscar Saborio-Romano will talk about frequency support from offshore wind power plants, and Matti Koivisto is studying the effect of wind power technology development over the large scale RES variability.

In other sessions, Daniel Hermosilla Minguijón will talk about the optimal design of offshore wind farms collection system using metaheuristic methods and Amir Arasteh will present a poster on methods of resonance identification in converter dominated power systems.
