About WESA

  • WESA is made up of DTU students from different nations and cultures, mostly studying Wind Energy.
  • WESA was founded in 2016 with 3 goals in focus:
    - To establish a network within the students at DTU that are interested in wind energy
    - To create the best study environment for our students at DTU
    - To establish a relation between the students and the wind energy industry

Wind Energy Student Association (WESA) invited part of the industry to their annual event, the WESA Conference Day at DTU Lyngby Campus on Tue, 23 April 2019.

At the WESA Conference Day held by the Wind Energy Student Association (WESA) at DTU, five different companies came forward to share their experience and expertise to more than 80 students.

The participating partners from the industry were K2 Management, Copenhagen Offshore Partners, ROMO Wind, PEAK Wind and Anemo Analytics.

Eric Aby Philips, President at WESA says about the event:

“The Wind Energy industry is a collaboration between many diverse organisations aiding its rapid growth. The WESA Conference Day was organised to show different parts of this growing industry and to inspire students to take on new challenges in different fields. The presentations at WCD 2019 spanned topics such as wind measurements, planning, operations, analytics, etc. The day was buzzing with activity and we got very positive feedback from both the students as well as the companies that participated."
