DTU Wind Energy wishes Erik Lundtang Petersen congratulations with the silver medal.

Earlier this month, Research Professor Emeritus Erik Lundtang Petersen at DTU Wind Energy, was awarded the European Meteorological Society's (EMS) silver medal.

The reason for the award is Erik Lundtang Petersen's high efforts with the development of “Danish Wind Atlas” and later “European Wind Atlas”, which makes it possible to calculate the wind climate any place in Europe - and thus the energy production for a planned wind turbine.

Erik Lundtang Petersen is proud, but will not take full credit:

"It is a great appreciation of the work we have done. It is great to be appreciated nationally as well as internationally, but it is important to say that it is not just me who has received this award. I share it with all those I have worked with,” he says.

DTU Wind Energy wishes Erik Lundtang Petersen congratulations with the silver medal.
