DTU Wind Energy researchers have developed a new method to advance blade digital twin technology by using basic principles of thermodynamics.

The method remotely quantifies fatigue damage of composite materials through the eyes of thermal vision. The work breaks new ground for structural health monitoring in near real time, providing key enabling technology for a blade digital twin.
